Selectively respond to matters that move the discussion toward the desired outcome, avoiding unnecessary confrontations. Provide opportunities for all stakeholders to speak, ensuring inclusive participation in finding a solution. Monitor the "temperature gauge" throughout the process, taking breaks if tensions rise.

Throughout this process, practice empathy, compassion, and the golden rule of treating others as you would like to be treated.
